Imogen Osteo

Hi, I graduated from Victoria University in 2014 with a Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) and Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science). I enjoy treating people from all walks of life, with the aim to improve their relationships with their bodies as a whole, to help them recognise how amazing and dynamic our bodies are!

For 4 years, I practiced as an Osteopath in far North Queensland, where I began to develop a special interest in pelvic girdle pain, biomechanics of the hips and pelvis, and subtleties of the inherent motion and vitality of the human body. I also began practicing yoga, which allowed me to move to Bali for a year and a half, where I worked as an Osteopath and taught Foundational Anatomy for yoga teacher trainings. I loved this experience and I learnt to find balance between effort and ease, strength and softness, and how to apply this in different areas of life, including work, exercise, and relationships.

I decided to return to Australia at the beginning of the 2020 with plans to return to Bali in a month or two. As the realities of the pandemic unfolded I was lucky enough to be offered a job in Canberra at North Canberra Osteopathy. As the practice expanded, I was lucky enough to become a senior Osteo and part of the leadership team for the clinic, facilitating in-house CPD, and participating in business strategy development. With the support of the other senior Osteopaths I was able to expand my skills in helping people through pregnancy, helping babies with feeding issues, mobility issues, or tummy issues due to tightness in their little bodies which can happen with a very fast birth or a very slow birth. During my time in Canberra I also undertook extensive training in Integrative Breathing Therapy with Dr Rosalba Cournety (Ph.D, Osteopath, Naturopath).
